Fabulous Accessories was created in 2009 out of necessity due to unemployment. With the current economic situation in South Africa at the time, employment was difficult to secure and as such, the husband and wife team of Deidre and Damien Dicks had to act immediately and take their future into their own hands. Self employment was the only foreseeable solution to their failing financial situation.
Initially the business started out by selling ladies fashion accessories like costume jewellery, handbags and various other small accessories for ladies and eventually moved into the promotional item arena. Pretty soon all sorts of items were being requested from a marketing collateral and branding perspective.
Fast forward to 2011 and the company now provides corporate, small businesses and public individuals with all their branding and promotional requirements.
Fabulous accessories are now in the position of being able to source, supply and brand almost any promotional and marketing collateral to their clients, with the added service of being able to source supply and brand some of the less conventional requests from their clients. We would thus go as far as saying we can take care of 99% of your needs, be they promo items or even services like gardening and security to name a few of our “special” requests.
Being a business run completely from home, we are in the very fortunate position of not having large overheads and expenses. Which mean that we can offer our clients very hard to beat prices and service delivery.
Fabulous Accessories has gone from a business created out of necessity to a business run with passion, dedication and with the clear vision of our clients’ needs.
Coming from a corporate background we understand what it is that our corporate clients want and need, and being a home based small business ourselves, we are able to relate to the needs of our smaller clients as well. We are thus in a unique position of being able to offer our services to most businesses.
We have no delusions of being a “Top 500” company. We are quite happy with the financial blessings our company has provided us with thus far. We’ve also seen many businesses grow too quickly and ultimately become unable to service their clients effectively. We prefer to remain a small business for some time to come so as to service our existing customers effectively, which have in turn rewarded us with their undying loyalty.
